Injector Types:

There are many different styles and types of fuel injectors but here's a picture of the basic normal vs stubby types. Note also that there are different connectors with the most common being EV1 and EV6

Examples of Good VE Tables:


These are for visual reference only.  You can see your VE table in 3D just by hitting the G key.  The thing to notice is that the table is fairly smooth without big peaks and valleys.  The ECU is following this table and obviously an engine could not quickly change its fuel requirements so smoothness is the key.  You should play with Interpolate to see how this is done.  Note also that all VE tables have the same basic shape.  A mild engine will be more flat whereas a high performance engine would be steeper.  There’s less fuel around idle and low load cruise, max fuel at high RPM, low vacuum, and torque peak.  VEs drop off once an engine has reached peak torque.

THe XIM allows individual ignition coil control. Here are the XIM Instructions for both normal XFI to XIM operation and Stand Alone XIM.

E85 and Flex-Fuel:

Here's a little document that I hope will assist.  It also includes how to wire in a flex-fuel sensor since FAST seems to have left that out. LOL

Remote Baro MAP Sensor Wiring:


XFI version 2.05 has the ability to use a second MAP sensor to monitor atmospheric conditions in real time, but the documentation doesn’t show you how to hook it up. First you need a second 1-bar map sensor. The signal wire goes to Analog Aux input #3. Reference voltage and ground are shared with the other Map sensor.  Refer to this drawing which is a section of the main harness 301100 which can be viewed under Help/Index/Schematics.
